“It was the first time seeing how far we went down. It was far,” Mikey told CNN about what happened moments after he and Stacey got rescued out of the ravine. They were both in terrible shape, so the rescue party placed them on a flatbed truck to take them to the nearest hospital. However, the X-rays showed that their condition was really serious and the hospital could not handle it, so the pair were transferred to a more advanced facility with equipment needed to deal with their injuries. Mikey and Stacey were rescued, but they soon had to face another serious challenge…

The Extent Of His Injuries
Mikey and Stacey were transferred to the Bali BIMC Hospital in the resort town of Kuta and they had life-saving surgeries. Mikey suffered cracked ribs and spine, a broken wrist, a skull fracture, perforated bowels and internal damage. He had to undergo surgery on his abdomen, wrist, and skull and chest tubes had to be inserted to inflate his lungs. His hospital stay lasted until September 3, 2018.
