Holding On For Dear Life
There was a huge international rescue effort going on while Mikey and Stacey were holding on for dear life. The only thing they could do was to keep the faith that there was a real rescue mission, but they were slowly slipping into the ravine. What’s worse, after his phone gave out, Mikey started losing consciousness. In spite of that, he continued to reassure Stacey that help was coming. “I really thought we would die so I wanted to comfort her,” Mikey revealed to CNN.

Help Finally Arrived
Mikey recalled it probably took three or four hours for help to finally arrive. When he and Stacey heard some people on the road near them, the pair gathered what little energy they had to shout and ask for help. It was the rescue party whom the pair heard and they successfully pulled Mikey and Stacey out of the ravine. The two must have been there for quite some time because it was already morning when they were rescued and finally made it out. With the daylight, the friends could finally see the damage.
