As for Stacey, she seriously fractured her left wrist, cheekbones, and nose, and her tongue was split by something during the accident. Her injuries weren’t as serious as Mikey’s, so she was discharged from the hospital earlier and then, returned to her home in South Korea. Mikey’s sister flew out to Bali to see him. After he was finally released from the hospital, the two stayed at a hotel nearby until his condition improved and was well enough to fly back to her home outside Atlanta.

The “Wild Ride”
Looking back on their trip to Bali, Stacey calls it a “wild ride” and sh told CNN the accident won’t stop her from seeing and exploring the world. She said, “This guy’s trip to Indonesia to meet me spontaneously meant his 55th country! He truly inspires me. I know travel is scary and risky sometimes, but there is no way either of us will stop.” What happened to Mikey and Stacey would scare off some people from traveling for quite a while, but not the two friends.
