A New Challenge
From Korea, Stacey tells reporters that her injuries would take several months to heal up and she plans on going back to her home in Michigan when she finishes her English teaching contract. The reason for her moving back is the new challenge that she is facing – paying for the incredibly expensive medical bills. Her family has even started a campaign on GoFundMe to help her and as of September 13, 2018, they have raised over $13,000.

The total amount of Stacey’s medical expenses is $30,000, while Mikey’s was twice that. His wrist surgery alone cost $9,000, and every night that he stayed in the hospital also cost $550. Thankfully, Mikey had already proven he had an incredible group of friends, so it isn’t surprising that he has managed to raise more than half of the $60,000 needed to cover his medical bills. Yet another interesting Facebook story – a woman shared on the site that she bought an item at a thrift store and other people started sharing their suspicions about the item.
