The Crash
Mikey and Stacey did not have enough time to turn, so they ended up riding off the hill and plunging into a ravine. Mikey told CNN that when he regained consciousness, he had no idea where he was and could only see trees and the sky. Since they were in the middle of a Bali forest, it was very dark, and when Mikey tried to orient himself, he realized he had lost his eyeglasses and his helmet and he couldn’t move his left wrist. They were disoriented by the crash, but they were still lucky because Mikey had something in his pocket that ended up being their only saving grace.

Injured And Slipping
When Mikey came to after the crash, he realized that he was seriously injured. He told CNN, “My back felt half broken. I couldn’t move and barely could pull myself up when I found a thick vine in the dark. Every move, I kept slipping.” He explained that while he felt he was on some kind of incline, he didn’t really know to where he was slipping because he couldn’t see what was around him.
