Some even claimed that a trail leading to the area where the figure was seen actually existed. They were sure the figure wasn’t a ghost or an optical illusion, but just another hiker.

Then, one Reddit user claimed they were the person captured in the photo. They said they visited Dundas Peak on the same day when the mysterious picture was taken and they were wearing dark jeans and a light, grey sweater. It seemed like the hype was exaggerated, but it’s still possible the person was just saying all of this to end the discussion. On the other side of the world, two Americans ran into some serious trouble while they were on a trip in Bali, but social media, specifically Facebook, played a big part in saving their lives.
