There was a loud and piercing sound that filled the house. It made Paul stop in his tracks. There was a thump after that, but this noise did not seem to come from the same room. This time, it came from the bathroom at the end of the hall. He went up to the door but made sure to do so with caution. What a brave man!

He opened the door using his foot and parted the curtain shower with his hand. Imagine his relief when he found Siam there! The cat had been hiding out in the bathroom the whole time. Sadly, the poor thing was not just scared but also starving. Paul could tell that it had been a while since he had a good meal.
