Sigmund Freud was a family friend and was connected to treating her at some stage, she was treated in Berlin and then Switzerland. Princess Alice actually helped Greek Jews by hiding them during World War II, she gave them shelter.

Tragedy Amongst His Family
Prince Philip’s sister Cecilie was in a tragic accident in 1937. She, her husband, and their children were involved in a plane crash. Unfortunately, the family died along with most of their children. Cecilie was also pregnant at the time. The family has had quite a bit of tragedy amongst them as Philips’s uncle George Mountbatten passed away at the young age of 45 from cancer. He was in fact his guardian too.
