Mulholland Drive was not the first film to make a pass and master the concept of surrealism, nor was it the first one to make a pass, yet David Lynch effortlessly turned the idea of surrealism into this film. He straddled the gap between what was a dream, making a frightening yet wonderful movie, and what was the reality. The movie was so brilliant that it was also named the best 21st-century film by the BBC.

The film was set for a captivating future and featured in his latest divorce, Theodore Twombly, played by Joaquin Phoenix. By purchasing an operating device, he tried to cure his shattered heart, but he ended up falling in love with it. In this project, there was so much to connect with: emotions, camera work, colours, everything and the cast and the crew really knocked it out of the park.
