The plot was about Joaquin Phoenix working as a hitman who was hired by a senator. His task was to save the daughter of the senator from danger. The story may be close to that of the other film. The way it was produced, though, and how the performers performed their part, rendering it distinct from the others. The lead character himself did a good job in the film doing different personalities.

The plot of the film was that a family was thrown out of their culture in Puritan Plymouth in 1630. They started living their lives on a farm in the forests. A member of the family disappeared, though. There were numerous difficulties encountered by the family in finding him. To make it true, Robert Eggers was the producer of the film and did four years of testing.
