The pressures of a wedding can be immense for any bride, but Princess Diana couldn’t take it! As a result of her depression, her beauty deteriorated. She began to lose weight in the weeks leading up to the wedding, making it impossible for her to fit into her gown. She also had 15 full fittings to make sure the dress was properly fitted. “Every time she turned up for a fitting, she had lost more weight,” Elizabeth Emmanuel said in an interview. “We chalked it up to nerves,” the author notes. It did, though, make it very difficult for us to begin working on the garment. ” The morning of the ceremony, she was sewed into the gown.
