Settling Down
After Joanna and Chip got married, they lived in many different homes – a total of nine homes actually. However, the couple knew they wanted to eventually settle down, so they thought they needed a home that perfectly suits their family. Thus, they started their own personal renovation project, one that would become the home they could settle down in and one which wouldn’t be exchanged for another. Things weren’t really easy and the house they decided on wasn’t really large, but as you’ll get to see in this article, it is quite the labor of love for the fixer-upper couple and it proved really successful.

A Farmhouse Becoming Home
The place where Joanna and Chip decided to settle in wasn’t as large as a mansion, but it was still going to be one massive project to do. In 2012, the pair purchased a farmhouse that came with an unfinished attic and two bedrooms. It might not sound like much for a growing family like theirs, especially since the place is in serious need of repairs to be suitable, but ever the skilled couple, they both were determined to transform the place and make it work for them. The goal wasn’t only making the house suitable enough for their whole family, but also to create an interior charming enough and worthy of their claim to TV fame.
