It took her the same amount of time as usual, but the commute to the office felt like a lifetime to Claudia. As soon as she pulled into the parking lot, she checked if she had any messages. Things loaded slowly, and she could not help but hold her breath in. She wondered if J’Ann ran into a problem. At last, the notifications showed up. To her surprise, she saw that a picture had come in from her niece.

Claudia looked at the thumbnail and could see that it was a photo of her daughter. She assumed that a bad thing happened. From the tiny preview, she was unable to see what was really going on. She only got even more worried because the full photo would not load right away. The entire thing only made her feel upset and restless! She knew that she should have left Ava in the hands of someone older.
