In reality, Claudia had too much on her plate to really launch a proper search for a babysitter. The meeting was approaching fast, and she had already received a lot of rejections. This last resort was starting to look appealing to her, so she hit up J’Ann. The teenager confirmed that she was free on that day and said she was ready to look after the baby. It was a relief to no longer worry about finding a babysitter, but it was hard to tell if she made the right choice then. The young girl was reliable and responsible, but the truth only became clear on the day itself.

It was not easy for Claudia to leave her daughter when the day in question finally came in. She was very anxious by the time she arrived at the office. She did not feel confident about the situation because her niece was still very young. J’Ann arrived at her house early, giving them ample time to go through what the teenager did. For example, Claudia gave the young girl the emergency numbers’ location and everything she needed. Once she was done, there was nothing left for her to do but to kiss her daughter and head off.
