The couple recently renovated their Frogmore cottage which cost a whopping $4.38 million. Their plan for financial independence means that they will now be aiming to pay British tax-payers back this money. The queen has requested that this be paid back due to the couple stepping down from royal duties. How they plan on doing this we have no idea.
