When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they will be spending half the year in Canada and half in the UK the world was taken by storm. The pair informally announced their decision to step back from royal duties and stepping down as senior royals. The pair are set to move to Vancouver Island where they spent the Christmas Holidays. They will be focused on charity work and other endeavors as they said, “After many months of reflection and internal discussion, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.

The Royal’s new home is situated in Vancouver Island, Canada. The mansion boasts a seaside location with french interiors and aesthetics. Local nature trails, magnificent gardens as well as private beach access. However, this move sparked some bigger controversy amongst the royals.
