When the documentary went on the air, William was reportedly not happy about it. In the beginning, there were rumors that he was angry at what his brother said. However, the BBC reported that one Kensington Palace insider said that the older brother was feeling more “worried” instead. Meanwhile, the palace did not issue an official response to the contents of the interview.

Still, an anonymous source apparently explained to E! Online that there existed “a lot of bemusement within the royal family about what exactly Harry and Meghan are trying to achieve… [As] members of the royal family do not usually speak in such detail about personal matters.” They also added, “It’s fair to say that there is a deep sense of unease in the royal households about the direction this is all headed.”
