Every bad thing was running full-speed through Shaniece’s mind. Was the baby okay? What was going on? Why was the doctor sitting there in silence? If something happened to the baby and she had to disappoint Steve and Joanna, she would never be able to live with herself. She needed to know! Then the doctor gave her the update.

Doctor Ryan looked right at her and smiled, right before he blurted out the sentence, “You’re having triplets.” Shaniece felt her whole body go numb for a minute. Was he being serious? Steve and Joanna wanted one baby; she had no idea how they would react when she told them they would be having three!
