Glastonbury Festival

Glastonbury Festival is one of the largest, if not the largest outdoor festival in the world. There was no festival this year because every 6 years the organizers decided to take “a fallow year” to renovate the site. While it is a bummer there is no festival this year, next year should more than make up for it. The next festival will be from June 26 to June 30, 2019. It is too early for the lineup but in the past Radiohead, Foo Fighters, First Aid Kit, Major Lazer, The Flaming Lips, Lorde, Thundercat, and Ed Sheeran have performed.

Iceland Airwaves

Iceland Airwaves got its start in 1999 where the festival was held in an airplane hangar. It has come along way since then. It is now regarded as one of the best festivals in the world and it always draws a huge international crowd. Rolling Stone magazine called it, “The hippest long weekend on the annual music-festival calendar.” The festival is held in Reykjavík, Iceland in early November. The next dates are November 7th-10th. It is not too early to plan your excursion!
