Separation
Much of the Jolie-Pitt children under the age of 18 were expected to live in the company of their mother, contrary to what was specified in the legislation. With regards to child custody, Angelina Jolie filed for all of her children to be taken into custody. All found it very difficult for Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne to cope and adapt to their current world in which their dad was no longer there.

One year after the split, Angelina Jolie went to an interview and shared her encounters with the children after the breakup. She made sure she showed no flaws to her children-she even said they would never weep before their children, but when she was alone she would still cry. She acknowledged that it was really hard, but that she had to remain strong for her kids.
