Mac and Me (1988)

The movie narrates the story of MAC the alien and its friendship with a wheelchair-bound boy. However, this plot did not do much for its ratings. The elaborate product placement for McDonald’s and Coca-Cola was simply too much for critics. Leonard Maltin said it was ‘more like a TV commercial than a movie.’ Ronald McDonald, who had a five-minute dance sequence in the film, won a Razzie for Worst New Star!

Staying Alive (1983)

Staying Alive features Hollywood hunk John Travolta and was directed and co-written by Sylvester Stallone. Even if it looked like an instant classic, it was the opposite of that. It has also been called one of the worst sequels in movie history. It did make it to the 100 most enjoyable bad movies, according to “The Official Razzie Movie Guide” by John J.B. Wilson. It still did well at the box office, so there’s that.
