In her long, impressive career, the lovely Ann Blyth did film and theater work. However, for her role as Veda Pierce Forrester in the crime film Mildred Pierce, you undoubtedly know her well. In the show, she played the main character daughter represented by similarly iconic Joan Crawford. She has now withdrawn from business and spends much of her time at home. If you’re as talented as she is, it’s no longer shocking to learn she’s earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

SIDNEY POITIER, 91 YEARS OLD
Another brilliant Hollywood star, Sidney Poitier, made a reputation for himself as he became the first African-American man to carry an Oscar home. His role on the Field’s 1963 film Lilies earned him the Best Actor honor. The Bahamian-American actor won Queen Elizabeth II’s knighthood back in 1974. He still has, aside from performing, credits under his name. He may no longer be in his life’s prime, but we’re sure Poitier’s doing good!
