Being a professional NFL player can’t possibly be an easy job, but sometimes players make us wonder how they ended up in the NFL to begin with. Keep reading to see those players that we just can’t understand sometimes, but we love them anyway.
Garett Bolles
Garret Bolles had a rather difficult transition into the NFL. He was expected to be the bookend tackle for the next decade, but his job might be in jeopardy after his rough start in the 2019 season. In the past two years, his Utah native earned 26 holding penalties. It has gotten so bad that John Elway called him out on radio. When your own boss bashes you in public, you know that things are not going well at all.

Solomon Thomas
Solomon Thomas was up high on the draft boards before he was selected in 2017. Scouts drooled over his versatility as an interior lineman, edge rusher, and a defensive end. This former Stanford legend has not been doing great, however. It is his third year and he has only earned career totals of 14.0 TFL and 5.0 sacks. While not bad, we expected more from a top-five pick! During the ’19 draft, the 49ers decided to get another defensive lineman in the form of Nick Bosa.
