Strange Passenger
In the public transport environment, people are all familiar with the unique category of person informally called the “lay downer,” which is pretty explanatory in itself. In Isabel’s Twitter message, this young boy perfectly described this sort of passenger. By placing his legs on the bench as he leaned up against his mother, this young boy felt entitled to have the entire bench to himself. Certainly, this sort of passenger is irritating.

He ended up taking two seats due to his behavior, as he placed his feet on the seats. He seems to be unaware of the harm and discomfort he caused to everyone else on the subway when playing games on his mobile device. Is he really self-absorbed like that? We may not know if he wasn’t even aware of it, or if he knew it, but we just don’t care about anybody else.
