He Thought It Was The House Of His Dreams But It Was Actually A Nightmare

It feels like everyone waits for the day their dream house becomes theirs. However, Christopher got more than he bargained for. After exploring the new property, he would get the biggest shock of his life!

House of His Dreams

Christopher was intrigued by his new property, so he started to look around. However, he had no idea what was waiting for him inside the tunnel. He continued to explore it even when a realtor and policeman asked him to stop doing that.

Investigating

When he was done with his investigation, he was able to gather enough proof. He knew that the only thing he could do was to leave and forget it about it all. Just what exactly did he find when he started to explore his new house? No doubt, he did not expect anything of this sort at all.

Wandering The Woodland

Christopher Wanliss purchased a new place fairly recently. The property rested on 41 acres of woodland space. You can just imagine how excited he must have been to find a place to call his own. He had no idea, however, that there was some sort of portal waiting for him there.

A Tour Of His Land

Despite this, it was what the universe planned for him. It was only inevitable that he would take a tour of the new property and its surrounding area. Over there, the seasons were cruel and stripped away the outermost layer of trees. This might sound harsh, but it only made the area look even more beautiful.

Autopilot

When it comes to what the area could offer, Christopher liked them all. He was fond of the silence of the woods as well as the birdsongs. It was not long before he began to wander around by himself. His body and mind would go into auto-pilot mode, but something ended up catching his eye. What was it?

Was It A Tree?

As he headed for the object that captured his interest, Christopher was in a haze of some sort. It was a dark and small object that looked like it was purposely hidden by someone. Was it just another tree, one that was darker, smaller, and older than the others?

The Mysterious Structure

That was what he had in mind in the beginning. However, he knew that he could be wrong as he got closer. He was feeling excited and a little nervous as he started to inspect it up close. All of a sudden, Christopher fell into a 3-foot ditch!

Abandoned And Old

Christopher was surprised about this because the area was slightly obscured by leaves and mud. He shook them off and looked around. He could not believe what he was seeing. Did he really just stumble, literally, into an abandoned goldmine? He was not yet sure of it, but the structure appeared to be very old. It did not seem like it had been touched in a while. Despite this, he felt the need to go in!

The Walls

The entrance to the mine had been covered in very thick moss. He could not see what was inside from there. He had always been an adventurous guy, so he went home to get a flashlight. He could not wait to see what was waiting for him inside.

A Ton Of Mines

Here was how Christopher described what that moment was like: “When we bought the house, nobody ever told us about the fact that the estate had a lot of mines on it. We just sort of stumbled upon the gold mine one day and that was it. When I first saw it, I was so excited that I almost fell over myself. The only thing that I could think about was Indiana Jones and underground railroads.”

A Bad Decision

When he made the decision to go inside, he did not know that it was a terrible decision on his part. Even if this was the case, he returned to the entrance with the flashlight. With this lighting device in his hand, he then walked inside. He held his breath and saw shiny objects attached to the walls of this tunnel…

Echoing Footsteps

The walls looked wet and unstable. It seemed like they could give in at any given moment. The sounds of his footsteps just bounced off the walls. He could not help but wonder about the marks he left on the soil with each step he made. Christopher was eager to explore the area. As proof of that, he even brought three sets of spare batteries with him!

Sparkling Material

He made his way towards the walls and brushed the stones that were sparkling at the wall. “What if this was gold?” he asked himself. He soon snapped out of it upon noticing something that made him feel concerned. This little discovery of his could truly change how the exploration would go. What was it?

Cold And Damp Inside

It might have been warm outside, but the mine was cold and even dewy on the inside. He noticed that he left deep footprints in the soil as well, so it must be wet. It meant that there must be a water source of some kind inside. After he took note of this, he considered it to be a huge red flag. Why? He knew that the presence of water puddles somewhere like this could mean that there is a gas leak there.

The Sound Of An Echo

He pointed the flashlight ahead of him and right at the end of the tunnel. However, he still could not see where it ends! Christopher got a strong feeling that he was not alone down there, but he had no idea who else could possibly be in there. Soon enough, his suspicions were confirmed when he heard noises that come from somewhere else in the tunnel. He let his curiosity get the better of him as he tried to figure out where the noises were coming from. He did not know just how wrong his judgment was!

No Light, No Warmth

He kept walking deeper and deeper into the mine. Christopher did not find any definite sign of life. There were no noises, no footprints, no nothing. He held onto his flashlight as tightly as possible, almost as if it could save him from any potential danger. The same noises could still be heard, but it was louder this time. In his mind, they were very specific noises just like old machinery in action.

Something Hiding

He would soon start to hear voices as well. The words were not clear enough for Christopher to hear what they were saying, but this gave him the confidence to yell out, “Who’s there?” However, he did not hear any response save for his echo. Still, he was full of courage and determination to find the speakers.

Old Ventilation System

All of a sudden, he saw that he was walking through water and mud. His legs sunk into the slosh each time he took another step forward. He was able to find a yellow ventilation unit, but it must have seen better days in the past. He also saw chains coming from the ceiling, but they were in bad shape too.

Weird Energy

All of a sudden, Christopher could feel a terrifying energy around him. He could tell that he was not alone down there. There was also a strong feeling that overtook him, telling him that he should not be there. He, however, ignored all of this and kept walking down to follow the path of the water. He felt convinced that it was going to lead him to whatever or whoever was making all the noise. Could someone have been living there all this time?

Finally Some Light

“The ambient temperature also seemed to suddenly drop all around me at this point, and I felt an even stronger negative presence ahead in the tunnel,” explained Christopher. It was only about 150 feet into the tunnel that he saw a light in the distance. What could it possibly be?

Swinging

He was in shock when he finally figured it out. He was in complete disbelief, but his body eventually caught up with his brain. It told him to move out of the way, and so he did! After noticing one of the chains start to move by itself, he jumped and clung to the wall for his life.

Who Was There?

The chain was not only swaying from a gust of wind. No, there must have been someone there because the chain was moving with so much force. He turned around and headed back to the entrance as soon as he could. His heart was pounding as was his head by the time he got outside. He needed to talk to someone about what he just found, but who could he possibly tell this story to?

The First Call

He let himself catch his breath and then made a beeline for his house. Christopher figured out who he had to call before anyone else: his real estate agent. In detail, he explained what he just went through in that small but scary tunnel. The realtor said they would have someone come over to take a look at it as soon as possible.

Mining Hills

“When we went to ask about the place, we were finally told that the estate had actually been home to quite a lot of mining sites. A lot of mining was done in these hills at the turn of the century, and there are a lot of little mines that are scattered across the hills,” shared Christopher. At first, he was overcome with a feeling of relief. However, he immediately started to feel tense once more as his entire body tightened up and made breathing difficult. He yelled, “This cannot be happening!”

Dropping Temperatures and Flickering Lights

Christopher was motionless in the kitchen after hanging up the telephone. Out of the blue, the lights in the house began to flicker on and off! He did his best to stay calm and told himself that there was nothing bad happening. However, he could not help but panic when everything went dark all of sudden.

To The Thermostat

He was able to locate the switch despite the dark. He tried flipping it on and off, but that did not stop what was going on. Christopher also began to feel a breeze inside the room that he was sure was not there a moment ago. After everything that he went through, he knew that it was not a good idea to remain in the dark. This was why he grabbed the flashlight and used it to shine a light on the thermostat.

Quite The Temperature Drop

He was able to tell that the temperature drastically went down in only a matter of seconds. It started to get so cold in the house that he was unable to see his breath! He thought, “How strange.” However, there was no way he could sit in the dark the entire night, so he decided to check out the circuit box.

Technical Problems

He used the flashlight to see the circuit breaker. It did not seem like there was a problem with it. He tried to change the settings by flipping different switches inside. He was not a professional, however, so he knew that it was not a problem he could fix by himself. It was a good thing that this seemed to be the case. The power eventually returned without any more crazy and inexplicable events.

The Doorbell Rang

“Faulty wiring,” Christopher told himself as he tried to calm himself down. Christopher said that there was nothing to be worried about. He was perfectly safe, right? He went upstairs and fetched a glass of water from the kitchen in an effort to remain his composure. Can you imagine his reaction when the doorbell rang all of a sudden? What could it be this time?

Meet Mr. Rudall

Christopher opened the door and found a man who introduced himself as Mr. Rudall there. He told this homeowner that he was sent by the real estate agency after the phone call and wanted to learn more about what he discovered on the property. He asked Christopher to lead him to where the mine was located so that he can see what could possibly be going on.

The Calm Before The Storm

Together, the two of them walked through the woods to reach the mine. At the time, the sky was a dark shade of gray. It looked like a big storm was on the way! Christopher led Mr. Rudall to the mine entrance but warned him that he had to be careful down there to avoid getting into any danger.

Troubling Words

When they got there, the two of them brought out their flashlights in the name of extra precaution. That time, the sparkles on the walls appeared to be even shinier. The material nearly blinded them by simply looking at them! Mr. Rudall inspected the walls very closely, much in the same way that a child would on Christmas day. He turned back to look at Christopher, but the look on his face said bad news.

Old Gossip

Mr. Rudall informed Christopher that they were certainly standing inside a gold mine right at that moment. He could hardly keep his eyes off the shiny walls. Both of them knew that the gold there was untouched. It was also easy to tell that the miners who had been working there ended up abandoning the site instead of finishing their project. But why would they do something like this anyway?

Abandoned Gold

Mr. Rudall was aware of all the rumors that surrounded the abandoned gold mines from the beginning of the century. However, he had no idea if they were reliable. Before this one, he had never gone inside a gold mine. Christopher could not come up with an explanation about why this gold mine was abandoned halfway through the project. However, he was intrigued to find out the history behind this tunnel.

Knock Knock

Christopher somehow found the courage to go deep inside the mine once more. There was this feeling that he would discover gold for himself. If not that, he would at least find out just how haunted this mine was. He dived inside this gold mine yet again, still armed with his flashlight and lots of extra batteries in a tote bag. As he got deeper into the cave, all he could see was darkness.

The Source Of The Water

The first time he went inside the tunnel, he was only able to make it 150 feet before he decided it was time to head out. This time, he had the determination to see it to the end regardless of how scared he might be. This was the only way that he would ever find the answers he wanted. At 600 feet inside the tunnel, he finally found out where all the water came from. He found a single door ahead of him!

Shivers

Goosebumps filled every last inch of his body. There was also water falling on his face now. Christopher took a deep breath and brought up his hand with the intention of knocking. Of course, he hoped that there would be no one behind the door. Upon opening it, he was shocked by the discovery he made.

A Different World Altogether

It was like he had just walked into an alternate universe of some sort. The weather outside was warm and nice, but this room was just as cold as the inside of the freezer! He touched the walls only to find them cold to the touch. Down there, they also felt much rougher and more unfinished than those on the outside. His claustrophobia was finally kicking in, telling him it was time to turn around and head outside. It was then that his flashlight caught something that captured his attention.

Something Was Going On

He stared at a pile of random items inside the room, but nothing about this made a lick of sense to him. Why would anyone leave all their stuff in such a random and secluded place? However, he was also starting to find it harder to breathe down there. He was able to notice that breathing was starting to become a very difficult task. Clearly, there was something off about the whole thing. But what was it?

Living Down There

After taking a close look at all the things down there, he saw that it was actually a rusted bedspring and a ruined mattress. This gave him all the answers that he had been looking for. Clearly, someone had been living there without any intention of leaving soon. Christopher stood there staring at the bed for some time until something more intriguing caught his attention. What could it be this time around?

In Hiding

Yes, it would seem like he found a concrete hideout down there. It did not make him feel any better. What kind of person would need a hiding place like this when the room was already obscured by an intriguing door? The person who made this made must have been trying to hide a big thing. He went up to the opening but failed to see anything from there. As he turned around to leave, something on the wall caught his eye.

A Brick Hideout

He shone the flashlight on the bricks and saw white scribbles on the surface. He was unable to figure out what they said until he took a closer look at them. What he found on them was bizarre and rendered him at a loss for what to do next. There were four vertical lines on the wall!

Nightmarish

Using his hands, the touched the scratch marks to see what they were like. He could tell that someone made them using fingernails! They were not deep enough to have been made using a sharp object. However, they went deep enough to leave a mark on the cement. He had no clue who could have been trapped in there. However, he only got more terrified the more that he thought about these things.

Writing On The Wall

There were other scratches on the other wall as well. This time, the marks formed letters. He was aware that the letters made up a word together, but he still could not figure out what they said. He brought out his camera to take a photo. Christopher was hoping that he could decode it using his computer.

Chills Went Through His Body

He had been in dead silence the whole time, so you can just imagine how terrified he was after hearing a loud noise! He knew that there must be someone else in that room. He brought out the flashlight and pointed it at the direction of the noise. However, he did not find anything there. He tried to inspect the writings on the walls some more until he heard the sound of banging metal. Not only that, but he also felt a cold breeze on the back of his neck!

He Sprinted

It felt like he had just gotten an ice bath! In a matter of seconds, all the warmth he possessed was gone. Christopher could only feel the freezing cold. In the beginning, he assumed that the breeze came from behind him. He knew that this was not the case when he felt it in front of him and on his sides as well. He did not know where it came from and why, but he was scared for his life. He started to run!

Running For His Life

Christopher got goosebumps once more and had a horrible feeling go through his entire body. He was aware that something was not right about this situation. His brain told him to stay still and silent, but his body told him something else. This was how he ended up sprinting out of that mine in record time. He ended up collapsing on the floor as soon as he made it out. He was that scared!

So Right, It Was Wrong

If you ask us, the first clue that there was something weird going on that this gold mine was untouched. It was just too good to be true! Well, he did end up learning this in the end. It turned out that there were stories about this place that he did not know beforehand. After catching his breath, he went home.

Like A Madman

Everything outside had been as still as can possibly be. Christopher found it eerie. For some reason, it seemed like the envrionment was reflecting the terror that he felt in that moment. He had a hard time focusing on anything. The only thing on his mind was that he had to return to the safety of his house.

Help From Google

After he made it back to the house at long last, he went to his study and made sure to lock the door. He was aware that there was something shady happening in the mine. Christopher wanted to get to the bottom of things no matter what it took. He eventually tried to look for answers on the Internet.

Haunted Mines

After he tried to look up ‘haunted mines’ on Google, he got goosebumps as the results loaded once again. He could tell that the presence he felt in the mine was now inside the house. Christopher was not sure if this was just his mind playing wicked tricks on him.

Whispering

Christopher turned around and started to hear whispers right beside where he was! Could he be going insane? Was any of this real? He turned around once more, and the whispers stopped at once. However, the air remained icy. The only thing he could hear right then was his heavy breathing.

Paranormal Activity

The results page finally finished loading. The first result said, “If you want to get rid of the paranormal activity in the mine and subsequently, in your life, you have to face it.” Could Christopher actually do this? There was nothing for him to do but to give it a shot.

The Doorknob

It was then that heard someone knocking in series of threes. Christopher felt a lump in his throat and swallowed. He was able to croak out, “Hello?” After that, he took a few steps forward and then turned the handle of the door.

The Pictures

When he returned to the kitchen, he noticed a whirring noise of some sort. It came from his camera! Why was his camera making a noise like that? Even worse, it was not even on! As you can see, it was starting to get even weirder.

It Was On

Christopher picked it up. He was sure that he turned it off as soon as he returned to the house. Even so, he found it on! He checked the photos he took inside the mine, but something weird started to happen.

The Card Was Wiped

He did not find a single photo on the SD card. Yes, it had been wiped! He took the device and headed for the mine. He knew that the only thing to do was to face whatever was in there. Enough was enough.

Foolish Courage

He managed to gather the courage he needed to go down the tunnel once more. Again, darkness was the only thing Christopher could see. He realized the error of his ways as soon as his eyes adjusted to the dark. What was he doing down there?

Pitch Black Tunnel

This dark tunnel looked even darker than usual. Was it this dark the first two times he ventured inside? He assumed that maybe this had something to do with the power of his flashlight. He continued to walk.

Cool Air

He walked in the muck but stopped when a gust of wind hit him! The force was so strong that it was comparable to something solid getting thrown at him. He could feel the cold right down to his bones.

The Noise Was Back

At that moment, Christopher heard a familiar sound. It was the metal noise he heard before! What was going on? It might have been scary, but he just kept walking. This was actually a lapse of judgment.

Terrible Noise

He continued to walk the length of that dark tunnel. All of a sudden, he halted. The noise was beginning to sound like it was too close to him. His ears started to ring that he even yelped in pain. By then, it was already too far for him to back out.

Metal Noise

The metal noise was like a barrage of various metal objects clunking together. Christopher cupped his head in his palms for some time. All of a sudden, the noise stopped. As soon as that happened, he felt scared and looked up. The silence was even creepier than the noise. It was then that he saw something.

Dangerous Waters

There were chains hanging from the roof of that corridor. They began to swing so rhythmically that you might think that they were all dancing. He felt so hypnotized by this sight that he could not process the sudden sound of water!

A Big Flood

His eyes adjusted at last, and he then saw that a huge tidal wave was coming for him. It looked like a tsunami! “I must be going crazy!” he said when the silence got interrupted by the sound of water.

What Was Hiding?

He could feel a headache coming on. His entire body started to scream as well as he tried to get out of there as quickly as he could. What was Christopher planning to do after this? It did not look like he could deal with the thing in the mine on his own.

Safety At Last

As he made his way out of there, he took one last glance back. He was perplexed when he noticed that there was no trace of water! No, the only thing Christopher saw was the footsteps he left in the mud.

Too Close For Comfort

He started the trek from the mine to the house. He was aware that it was time to ask for help with this mystery. Not knowing what was happening was driving him insane. It would happen to us too if we found something like this in our property!

Who Was There?

As Christopher made his way through the forest, he halted when he saw a light of some sort. It came from his very own kitchen window. He could not remember if the lights were on or not by the time that he left. He felt certain that it had been off. Could there be someone in the house?

No One There

He entered his home, but he sensed that the house was empty. It did not look like there was anyone else in there. Huh, maybe he really did leave the lights on by accident. He went to the kitchen, but his mind was still on the mystery of the mine.

Was It All Real?

Christopher continued to ask himself if that truly happened. He returned to the study and booted his computer. He wondered if he could actually do this. Even though he was not the sort of person who believes in the supernatural, he was starting to wonder if he was wrong about that.

It Went Black

Once more, he turned on the search engine and started to type a question. The computer let out a noise before the screen turned black. Did it just shut down on its own? “What could possibly go wrong next?” Christopher pondered. He had no idea that this was not yet the end of it all.

Exhausted

By then, he was exhausted both in the mental and physical sense of the word. He was worn down after everything. He put his head in his hands and then felt a pull. What could be tugging at his feet now?

He Was Off

Christopher stumbled backward and then fell as he did so. It was the last straw! The only thing he could think of doing was to leave and get help. Perhaps there was a rational explanation behind it all. He got into his car and sought sanctuary at the nearest café he could find.

A Professional

After he walked through the doors, he got a double espresso for himself and used his phone to get internet access. He searched, “Best paranologist near me.” He was surprised to see two places near his current location. Once more, he hopped into his car and made his way to one of them!

Sleepless Nights

On the storefront hung some kind of sign that read, “TAROT readings.” The sight of this immediately comforted Christopher, despite the fact that he still had quite a hard time believing what he had just discovered in the tunnel. No matter what he knew that he needed to do this! He needed to get the answers to his questions, especially if he wanted to get a good night’s sleep.

For Sale

As he entered the door and walked into the store, there was a real strong smell of incense and right in front of him was a woman. She was fully clothed in purple and red, as she got closer to Christopher she put her hand out and immediately started reciting some kind of chant which weirdly enough sounded so familiar to him. The song drew him in and then he realizes this was the same chant he heard while he was in the mine. However, this one sounded more melodic. As soon as he realized this, he dashed straight for his car.

Leaving It All Behind

Without even thinking, Christopher drove straight to his mother’s house. And before no time, he put the house up for sale. The developers who soon became responsible for the property tried to get in touch with him but he never contacted them. His mother was the one who did everything on his behalf and made sure that the property was sold. She was of course open to any negotiations, just as long as someone would buy the property.

Unanswered Questions

Now, there are still many answered questions about the whole story. Did everything Christopher claim to see really happen? Was the mine truly haunted or was his mind just playing tricks on it? Has anyone else ever embarked down the mine to see what is down there? Unfortbutly, we do not have the answers to the questions. However, wait until you see what happens in this next bizarre story…

A Fine Christmas Morning

It was Christmas day of 2105, Jose Antonio Nievas woke up just before sunrise. Now for any Aregtitinam man, this wasn’t exactly something unusual. It was more of the fact that Christmas day was one of the most exciting days for Jose, which is the reason he woke up so early. He then decided to take a stroll around his rand, little did he know he was about to come across something completely out of place and very strange.

What Is Just A Massive Rock?

Right by the stream of the property, Jose spotted what looked like some kind of massive stone. By now he was so curious which then forced him to go nearer and take a closer look. However, it was from that moment, things began to take a creepy turn. He soon realized that what he thought was a stone was not at all. But what exactly could it be?

Asking For Help

As he got closer to this object, he then saw that it was covered in mud. Jose then carefully try to clean the surface of the object. This was all in hope of eventually trying to figure out exactly what was in front of him. However hard he tried, he simply could not get all the mud off. This is when he thought that he may have found something of value. Jose rushed back home to tell his wife, Reina, hoping she could help him solve this crazy mystery.

Working On It Some More

After hearing what her husband had just seen, she wanted to take a look for herself. The couple’s goal was to remove the mud from the object as quickly as possible, they both immediately got to work. The last thing they wanted to do was damage the object which is why they worked so carefully. The more they worked on it, the more they realized just how enormous the object was. They had already spent many hours working on but they came to the conclusion that there was no way they could do this on their own. Jose and Reina agreed that it was time to share their discovery and ask for further assistance. This was when they turned to the police…

Everyone Heard About It

Besides the fact that Jose and Reina had only told the police, it seemed as though word got out super fast. They were right, news truly does travel fast…it didn’t take long before people were flocking in from all over to see for themselves what was by the stream. Regrettably, neither the police nor any of the onlookers were able to make out what was before their eyes. The cops were just as puzzled as every other person who arrived at the scene, they simply could not give a good explanation for this strange object. However, Jose was pleased he had brought his dog along with him to the stream, as it was him that ended up shedding some light and giving the most assistance…

An Excited Pooch

Immediately after Jose’s dog was taken off his leash, he got closer to the object and began to sniff. All the bystanders finally had a small bit of hope after watching the dog, they were certain it was about to find something of meaning. We all know that when dogs find something of interest they do like to make a scene of it.

The Professional Opinion

It was not too long when the dog gave his owner a clue that this was in fact something of great importance. From that moment, the police decided to call in an expert to come and assist with this situation. Thye contacted two archaeologists who dashed to the scene to have a look at this object. It was obvious that these two experts would have to conduct some kind of scientific investigation to be able to the bottom of this. However, it was required that this object be brought into the lab. How on earth was this going to be done?

Digging It Out

As soon as the archaeologists arrived at the scene they began to dig up the object but soon came to the realization that it was quite a struggle. Apart from this, they also saw that there was some kind of egg inside the object. Eventually, after several hours they were able to excavate the massive object. The next part was trying to figure out and exactly they would transport it to the lab.

Discoveries

It didn’t take much time before the archaeologists were able to give away some information that so many people had been thinking all along. It was quite obvious that whatever had just been discovered was definitely not from this time period. In actual fact, it was extremely ancient. For further inspection, a small piece was taken by the archeologists in an attempt to get a better understanding and hopefully a clearer picture.

What It Was

After further investigation and a lot of research, the archaeologists eventually classified it as a fossil. However this was far from just a fossil, this had apparently come from an ancient turtle shell. But that was not it, there was a lot more to this bizarre story. It was actually the fact a very similar discovery had been made around the same time but on the other side of the world.

A Michigan Man

At the same time that this breakthrough was taking place in Argentina, an identical story was unwinding halfway across the world. A farmer from Michigan by the name of James Bristle had also come across something truly remarkable on his own property. These two men did not know each other at all, however, they amazingly both made history at the very same time. Despite having never even met each and both living on different continents, how was it possible that they found two incredible fossils?

Digging In

During the time of James’s finding, he was actually just looking for the best spot to install a new gas line. After much consideration, James decided that he was going to do the installation on his soy field, so he began to dig on the spot where he thought was best. He was well aware that a lot of digging was needed for the big natural gas line. Regardless, it did not occur to him in the least bit that his life was about to change after he made this unexpected discovery.

Using Proper Equipment

Of course, James wanted the digging process to be as efficient as possible, which is why he brought several heavy-duty machines to help me out. Amongst other things he took a backhoe to his property which he thought would be extremely useful. James was well aware that this was not going to be the easiest job and was obviously going to take him some time as well. However, he was determined to get it done by October. He also knew this was going to include a lot of work and perseverance.

On A Time Crunch

His new assignment was a lot more difficult than the thought it would be. It was now beginning to snow and James was nowhere near where he intended to be. He may have underestimated what needed to be done and the amount of time it was going to take him. He was determined to not give up. As James continued to dig with one of the machines, he heard something strange. It appeared that the machinery had actually hit something hard. But what could it be?

Hitting Something Hard

James knew that the deeper he dug he would more than likely come across some solid rocks. However, he was kind of taken by surprise as he was digging in the soy field, which after all is a much softer and moist type of land. So this was quite strange, he thought for a minute. Perhaps what he had just hit was not actually a rock but something else?

Exceptionally Careful

As much he was insistent on finishing up his new project, he was now just as determined to figure out what on earth this object was. He began to carefully inspect the soil, making sure not to damage anything in the process. James could feel that this newly discovered object was quite hard but smooth, he knew straight away this was definitely not a rock.  So what was it?

Way Too Big

James began to clear as much of the dirt and mud off the object as possible. After that, he discovered something that looked very much like a bone. He had never seen anything like this in his entire life, so naturally, he was fascinated. He immediately thought that this may be some kind of rib bone, but after much thought, he knew this was simply too big to have come from any animal that frequently roams his property. James had no idea what was in his hands.

Back In Argentina

Back to the other farmer in Argentina for now. The archaeologists and researchers were able to summarize a lot more information than when they first laid their eyes on the object. It seems to be that the object that Jose had found was indeed an ancient fossil that came from the same era that dinosaurs roamed the earth. How incredible is that?

Curiosity Got The Best Of Him

At the time, Jose knew the object he found was far too big for anything like a horse or cow. But of course, he was overly curious about the object that he found, which is why he continued to dig deeper. It never crossed Jose’s mind that he would ever find a fossilized shell in his life, especially on a Christmas morning. Nonetheless, what exactly did he find? Well, apparently it was an armadillo-like creature that scientists call a ‘glyptodon’.

Meanwhile In Michigan

Having said that now let’s get back to James. The Michigan farmer continued to dig until the early hours of the morning. He was completely surprised that right in front of him was indeed another massive bone that was being concealed by the mud. In fact, this second one was much bigger than the original one he found the day before…

An Archaeological Site

By now, James had already dug as deep as 10 feet below the ground. Although he had first begun this project with the intention of setting up a natural gas line, things started to take a turn. And in a matter of no time, word about this new discovery had spread like wildfire, not only to local people but also to media correspondents from around the world. This was indeed an enthralling story that definitely deserved to be seen by everyone.

The Word Got Out

The very same thing that happened in Argentina was now taking place in the small town of Michigan. Local residents always wanted to get involved in the action, they were desperate. They did not want to just step back and wait for answers, they wanted to be first-hand witnesses. So naturally, it was bound to happen sooner than later that the rumors would be flying around town. In fact, people got so crazy one person even said that the fossil came from a monster that used to live on James’s property!
