Winston Churchill – Miniature Poodle

Looking at Winston Churchill’s legacy and arresting personality, you likely would not expect that he would choose a poodle for a pet. However, the former British prime minister actually had two brown miniature Poodles named Rufus and Rufus II. Although we aren’t sure if a poodle is Standard, Miniature, or Toy, we do know that it stands proudly among dog kingdoms, a true blue aristocrat. Looking beyond their amazing and furry bundle, these dogs are elegant athletes and the perfect companion. Many people may think poodles are sissy dogs, but poodles are actually eager, athletic, smart, and versatile dogs.

Queen Elizabeth – Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Everyone knows Queen Elizabeth is fond of Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Her love for dogs started way before. She was a young adult when she was gifted a Corgi named Susan, who accompanied her everywhere. A wonderful, bright, and sensitive dog, the Pembroke is really receptive to training and loves hanging out with its human family. Also, they are fearless, independent and are great examples of vigilant watchdogs. If a Pembroke is trained well, it will be a loyal and loving pet. No wonder the adorable short-legged charmers have enamored Queen Elizabeth.
