Rebecca decided that she had nothing to lose at her mother’s insistence. She agreed to try it out. She sent him a Facebook message and was taken aback when he immediately asked for her phone number. He was supposed to text, but instead, he called! She picked up the phone, even though she was not used to speaking with strangers on the phone. Steven simply told her that he was interested in chatting with her, which she found a little awkward. The call went smoothly!

At first, she felt both shy and awkward. Rebecca had yet to meet Steven, after all. Despite her reservations, she found responding to his questions and comments to be simple. This was significant for her because she was in a particularly vulnerable mental state at the time. They’d been talking for hours by the time she realized it! Not only that, but they conversed with each other until early the next morning. It may sound corny, but her broken heart felt like it had been patched up after that.
