We have already told you that the First Family gets the opportunity to redecorate the White House to their liking, with the exception of certain rooms and items. One thing that they can never move is the famous grand piano! They can play it if they wish, although it should never be moved. The White House curator on duty ensures that important historical artifacts and artworks are preserved and cared for. We bet this is no easy task, especially if there happen to be young kids living in the White House.

Do Not Open The Windows
Although there are plenty of amazing things about living in the most historical and famous house in America, there are lots of restrictions as well. A couple of them will seem odd to some people. For example, it is not allowed for anyone to open the windows of the White House. Michelle Obama said that she missed opening the window to let some fresh air in during the time they lived there. She even jokingly told Ellen DeGeneres that she was planning to spend a lot of time “just hanging out the window” when her husband left the office.
