He said that their dad was happy about the news and said that Prince Harry and Meghan were “very much in love.” Not only that, but Tom Jr. also said, “My dad knew about [the relationship] from the start. He first met Prince Harry about six months ago out in Toronto. He goes once every couple of months – they are very close, and they stay in close contact. He’s pretty happy about Harry, and he’s extremely proud of her. They have an amazing relationship, they’re very close, and they always have been.”

While they had been close in the past, Meghan Markle and her father had a right when she was around 18 years old or so. This came out after a friend shared a video of her while they were cruising around Los Angeles. As they approached where her father lived, Meghan said, “We aren’t going to go there. We’re about four minutes from my dad’s house…you can see the Hollywood sign. But we aren’t going to go there because my dad and I aren’t on the best of terms.” Luckily, they patched things up after that.
