This dog breed is known to be the most low-maintenance dog you will ever find…which makes it so perfect for families with very young kids. Not only are they extremely loyal to their owners but they are pretty smart dogs to which makes it easy to train them. However, just note that the Basset Hounds hate to be left alone for long periods of time as they are a people-oriented dog breed.
