Disney parks don’t get called The Happiest Place on Earth for no reason! People from different parts of the globe flock to these parks to ride the attractions, eat amazing food, interact with their favorite Disney stars and more. It is incredible that 44,000 people drop by Disneyland each day. With that number, there are bound to be some amusing things going on. Visitors often snap away during their vacations, so we are in for a treat. Let us take a look at some of the strangest photos taken at various Disney parks!
Oh, no. We are sure this guy only wanted to show off his band shirt when he went to Disneyland. However, it seems like he forgot that there were mice there. Everyone, kindly make sure that you are culturally sensitive when you go to the theme park. We do not want Minnie and Mickie running away just because you chose to wear a shirt that they thought was a threat.
Grumpy Aboard Splash Mountain
People go to an amusement park to, well, amuse themselves. This is the place to go if you want to forget about the problems in your daily life. This woman tried Splash Mountain, but she does not seem to be all that thrilled. After the photo was snapped, Jordan Alexander had been dubbed by the internet as the “Angry Splash Mountain Lady”. Apparently, she was feeling rather grumpy because her husband ditched her right before the ride began! We can understand where she is coming from.
Watch Out For Minnie Manstealer
She wanted to get a photo with her childhood idol, but it seems like Minnie Mouse had a plan of her own. This woman and her boyfriend were ready to smile for the camera, happy as clams, when Minnie turned around to hug him at the last minute! It seems like the girl did not expect nor did she like what was happening! However, we are sure that they have since sorted it all out and now laugh about this photo.
Too Close For Comfort
Christine Sydelko is an internet sensation and a funny woman. She was ready to have a great experience when she went to Disney’s California Adventures. The Heimlich’s Chew-Chew Train might have been intended for small kids, but this kid-at-heart let loose on the fun attraction. When she saw this photo someone took of her, she took to Tweeter to say that she bore a strong resemblance to Heimlich the caterpillar! Disney has since shut down the A Bug’s Land area, but she can always look back at this.
Bathing On Splash Mountain
When you go on Splash Mountain, you are probably aware that you will get soaked at one point. These people were well aware of this fact and decided to take advantage of it! Why bathe twice, right? They sure know how to use their time effectively. We have to say that we are impressed by the thought that went into this amazing photo. Splash Mountain pictures are always awesome, but this one is incredible!
Tired Snow White
For many people, the highlight of a trip to Disneyland is the chance to interact with their beloved Disney characters. Guests often get the chance to take a photo and even talk with their favorite character. It might even be possible to walk with them to a different part of the park. Did you know that the cast members follow many guidelines during their shifts because they need to prevent “breaking the magic”? In this photo, the actress forces a smile even though she is clearly wiped out from working all day long!
Pluto And His Pet Pal
Who said that only humans enjoy meeting their favorite Disney characters? The golden retriever below felt like the luckiest animal out there when he met his hero, Pluto. This service dog had the biggest smile on his face when he met Mickey Mouse’s pet dog! However, it is generally not allowed to bring a pet, only service animals get to come inside the park. We are sorry if your dog happens to look up to Pluto as well.
Leaving Minnie Mouse For…
Mickey Mouse did not see it coming at all. As you can see here, he was completely surprised when Minnie left him for Goofy! Even though the mice had been together from November 18, 1928 from the moment they starred in Steamboat Willie together, it seems like time is not the only measure of love. Perhaps Minnie has since developed a taste for younger men like Goofy, who only showed up in the 1932 cartoon Mickey’s Revue. This was probably a one-off, however, since Minnie was present during Mickey’s 90th birthday special.
Donald Duck And Family
It is pretty common to find harmless wildlife creatures in Disney parks. Birds, cats, insects and other animals are common sights in these places, as a matter of fact. Despite this, it seems like Donald Duck was thrilled to find duck and ducklings in there! He decided it was time to take a couple of photos with his relatives. Goofy and Pluto were also happy for their friend. We sure adore the heck out of this photo!
Two People At The Theme Park
We all know that children love going to a Disney park, but what about their parents? It can get very tiring for them. This son and dad duo rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World. The photo below shows what it is like for these two factions. The boy looks more than thrilled to be doing this, although his dad looks very tired. Despite this, we are sure they can now laugh about its absurdity!
Let Us See What Disney Characters Get Up To When No One Is Watching
Portable Date Night
We do not see any reason to choose between a theme park date or a fancy dinner when you combine these two things! We all love a good-tasting chicken and some adrenaline-pumping attraction. You can also get the best of both worlds by dressing to the nines. Again, this is another proof that the best photos in the park happen on Splash Mountain! What a great idea this was.
Whoever said that it is only humans who like Disney parks is clearly wrong. As you can see here, the head honcho of the park is not above rubbing noses with a cute golden retriever. As a way to celebrate his training to be an autism service animal, the dog received a Disneyland trip. Although some pets like certain Disney characters, Mickey is always ready to welcome service animals no matter where they come from. The children in the background probably wish they could have the same relationship!
Proposal On Splash Mountain
We have yet another photo taken aboard Splash Mountain! Apparently, Lindsay decided to sit up front when this was taken. She had no idea what was unfolding behind her back! Chris and his friends were all carrying these signs and he had the ring in his bag the entire day. If you ask us, it was certainly worth the effort. They had this cool photo to remember the day on which they got engaged.
Bored On Splash Mountain
If you are looking for a huge drop at Disney Park, Splash Mountain is going to give you what you want. It can be hard to keep your cool when you go down 49 feet at the speed of 40 miles an hour. These guys wanted to have a special photo when they rode it. We know that it is common enough for people to have their arms up and eyes closed in their photo. They were busy playing a board game, however!
Will You Marry Him
Who would have thought that Gaston and his charms would work? In Disneyland, a lot of proposals also take place. We bet that no one expected this guy to pop the question to this character, however. Unfortunately, it does not look like the answer was yes. It’s a good thing that the man on his knees bounced back quickly after the rejection. He decided to ask the Disney princesses for their hand in marriage next!
Finishing The Game
We all know just how long a game of Monopoly can take. With that in mind, we do not blame these guys for bringing their unfinished game over to Disneyland. After all, James only bought Boardwalk – there is no way they can abandon it now. It seems like people will continue doing various things for a Splash Mountain photo! As long as this happens, there will always be guests who use it for their amusement.
Not Her Cup Of Tea
We all know that we only get to wine and dine with Disney princesses when we visit the park. However, it seems like this girl did not appreciate Princess Aurora dropping by her table. Just take a look at that face she was making! The Disney parks often have built-in restaurants where kids can talk to and take photos with their favorite characters as they eat some food. As you can see, this is not something everybody appreciates. Oopsy daisy.
Get Ready To Be Amazed By What This Couple Did In Disney Land
Before The Big Drop
As you already know by now, there is one moment in Space Mountain when a camera snaps a photo of the people riding it. Often, this results in hilarious photos. This couple decided to sit up front and took a great photo together. The roller coaster was starting to drop when this man brought out a ring and asked his girlfriend to marry him! Everyone was shocked when this unfolded – talk about an unconventional plan. Despite this, we are glad that cameras caught the video on tape.
Like A Mirror
We know that Disney cast members follow specific rules when working, although visitors need to follow certain restrictions as well. People who are 14 years old or more are not required to wear any costume unless there is a special event. This then led to a rule known as Disneybounding, in which adults don outfits inspired by Disney characters. The youngster was dressed as Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. There are hundreds of characters they can pursue, so we love that they went with this one!
We already know that a lot of people go to Disney parks, but did you know that this includes celebrities like rappers and musicians? Can you believe that Snoop Dogg was spotted as well? He wore a Goofy hat, dark sunglasses, and his signature gold chain. When you head out to go to a Disney park, you better hope that people are going to see more of these celebs on top of having a great time there!
Taylor Swift And Her Bodyguard
Like we just said, there is something so fun about seeing celebrities taking advantage of what Disney parks have. Taylor Swift herself went to Disneyland with her bodyguard and a couple of friends. A lot of roller coasters there are equipped with cameras for photos. While the pop star and her friends are enjoying the ride, her bodyguard does not seem to find it all that exciting. Clearly, he is not impressed by the turns, twists, and drops on this roller coaster!
Enjoying Magic Kingdom
Doug the Pug is not a service dog, but he was still lucky enough to drop by Disney World. The social media sensation pug had a blast at the Magic Kingdom as part of an effort to promote the Instagram page of the park. It is no wonder that Disney was willing to bend the rule for this internet celebrity. He boasts of 3.8 million Instagram followers and 2.79 million Twitter fans. Who needs influencers, right?
A Famous Singer Brought His Family To Disneyland
A Legendary Visit
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently took their children Luna and Miles to Disney trip! Luna got the chance to become a princess during her third birthday. She also loved talking to Princess Tiana of The Princess and the Frog during breakfast. Her father posted a photo on Instagram in the hopes of making it to a Dads of Disneyland account. He was featured not once but twice on the account!
Anything Goes Here
There are people who enjoy going to Disney parks since it offers them the chance to spend time together somewhere this magical. There is more to these parks than just the characters and rides, however. Each year, there is an event named runDisney where runners get the chance to race and make it across the park. When the lady in maroon was done, her boyfriend then got down on his knee and popped her the question! Even the lady in the back could not help showing her shock.
Donald Duck And His Famous Friend
One more unique thing about these theme parks would be the fact that they get redecorated for every season. Steve Carell is a famous actor and comedian who paid a visit to Disneyland one fall season to see the Halloween decorations. During this time of the year, the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square tends to be a favorite among park-goers. Starting from September and ending in January, the attraction is filled with characters from Nightmare Before Christmas. Main Street is also getting ready to gear up for the holiday season by buying a neat pumpkin that looks like Mickey Mouse!
Talking To Pluto
When you go to Disneyland, you have to chance to talk to various characters from the most iconic films ever made. The characters are all over the park, so you will always get the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of them. This fan had an amazing time talking to Pluto, Mickey’s faithful dog. They seem to be having a great conversation, don’t they? We bet it all ended with a lovely hug and memories that will go down in the history books.
Giving Minnie This Look
When they are the job, Disney actors need to stay in tip-top form no matter what. However, this does not mean that Micky will stop sneaking secretive glances at Minnie. He is clearly ready to party… otherwise he might simply be a bit tired. We are truly curious about what he wants to communicate with that mysterious luck on his face! Is this mouse actually hiding something or not? Let us hope we find out sooner than later…
Fish Out Of The Water
Aww, how adorable! This mermaid decided to step out of the water so that she can come with her father, King Triton, to Disneyland. Isn’t this the cutest thing you have ever seen? We are sure that this father and daughter had a great time in the happiest place on earth. If you plan to do some family cosplay, there is no better place to do it than here! It would have been better if he had a trident.
This man and woman clearly had a great time at Disneyland when they went! Oh, right. They brought their kids along with them as well, although it seems like they did not have as much fun as their parents did. Look at the uncomfortable and embarrassed faces they are all making. We have to say that we do feel a little sorry for the kids. But hey, parents deserve to let loose a little every now and then as well!
Darth Vader In Disneyland
Let us hope that Darth Vader looks out because that Jedi is onto him! We bet the Disney execs started to regret making Star Wars films when all these Jedi vs. Sith kept happening on the rides. Well, there is no better way to protect the Death Star than by flying in circles! Hmm, do you think this Darth Vader was a guest or a staff member? If you ask us, both of these things could be true.
This photo went viral on the Internet because it is incredibly adorable. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out just how excited the boy was to meet the Disney characters. There is something so pure about seeing children all excited, right? Ah, childhood. That was the only time in our life when we would be this happy after meeting our favorite fairy. We are sure he is going to treasure this moment forever.
Dad Jokes At Disneyland
This was what one dad thought a good joke would be when the family went to Disneyland Paris. It seems like this cool dad was having more fun over there than his kids were! Well, at least they were good sports about it and even played along for this amazing photo. Let us hope that the dad never regrets doing this! After all, no one made him do fart jokes in Disneyland – it’s all on him!
Good Luck Gaston
When we all watched Beauty And The Beast, we all sympathized with Belle. This is bad news for Gaston, who seems intent on trying his luck with every lady out there. This woman has already seen the movie and knows his game. It seems like Gaston is truly one persistent fellow. Do you think he will ever learn his lesson? We have to say that we doubt that it will ever come to that point!
Drew Barrymore About Disneyland
If you are as creative as this actress us, you might also be able to take great photos when your kids throw tantrums. Drew Barrymore decided to use these outbursts as a photoshoot opportunity, and the results are hilarious! In our humble opinion, this is a great way to deal with situations like this. “I just had tears of joy seeing their joy,” she explained when she was interviewed by Seth Meyers.
Brilliant Staged Photos
There is no need to worry as he did not actually get hurt. The man is simply using this great setup to take an awesome photo. People who have a morbid sense of humor will definitely get a kick out of this! However, people who take things too seriously might sound the alarms. Anyway, we bet you would not have thought to have your photo taken this way!
Not The Happiest Place On Earth
Although Disneyland calls itself the “Happiest Place on Earth”, this little one does not seem to agree. She had yet to enter to park but already wants to head home! Maybe she will change her mind when they get through the gates. A commenter under the name garygnu even said, “it’s very happy there, except between 3:30 and 5:00.” Well, perhaps it would be better to take your kids during the early afternoon.
Oh, man. Can you imagine planning out your proposal for months on end only for this to happen? You bought the tickets to her favorite place on the planet and buy an expensive ring. You conquer your nerves and ask your friend to take a shot when the big moment happens. And then this something like this happens. We bet that the photobomber had no idea he just ruined something important.
Super Smash Mountain
What are you supposed to do when your friends want to head to Disneyland, but you just want to remain home and play video games all day? Well, you can try compromising. For these dudes, that means doing these two things at the same time. If you find Splash Mountain boring, you can always do something else to amuse yourself… like bring a Gamecube and monitor to the ride! We have no idea how they even brought these things over, so we’ll just appreciate the picture.
What an amazing cosplay this is! We can just imagine Kronk’s voice as he goes on about the 10k run he seems to be taking. The costume is perfectly made, and the runner is amazing for going at it with this on his back. Can you believe that he still managed to win after everything? The Disneyland 10k marathon does not actually have a winner, although we are sure that this guy had been the most creative participant.
If you thought that you already saw all the Splash Mountain photos here, you are wrong. Take a look at this one! The way was riding the attraction but playing chess at the same time. In all likelihood, they glued the pieces before the photo was taken, but it is still an amazing photo. How do you think the people behind them reacted when they saw the picture? We just hope that they did not feel annoyed!
Catching Up On The News
Honestly, we can’t get enough of clever Splash Mountain photos. They truly bring out people’s creative side. Of course, this photo is hilarious, what with the people casually reading newspapers right on the biggest drop of the ride. However, we are focusing on something else, or rather, someone else, in this photo. Notice the man at the very back? His expression tells us that he just realized something very important. Maybe he forgot to turn off the oven before leaving the house?
No One Stays Dry
It’s no secret that riding Splash Mountain comes at a price. That price is getting wet, to be clear. Now, there is always a chance you’ll get more or less wet than the others on the ride with you, but all the same, no one comes out of the ride completely dry. Our theory for this photo is that the person in front really didn’t want to get wet, but the guy with the bottle was simply not having it. It had to be an equal experience for all of them.
Forget skydiving or cliff diving. This is a true show of bravery. Think about it this way: this guy right here decided to go on a ride that has a sharp free-fall. While on this ride, he took along a razor to casually shave his face. Who wouldn’t want a sharpened blade near their face and neck while going through a sharp drop? Well, us. We wouldn’t want that at all. For this, this guy earned a medal for bravery.
Just about everyone’s parents gave them the “don’t talk to strangers” talk when they were young. Naturally it’s a good rule for kids to have since they’re very trusting. However, this girl took things a step further than necessary. She realized that Mickey Mouse was just like all the other strangers she saw in the street. When he tried to give her a hug, she showed him who’s boss and took control of the potentially dangerous situation.
Captured By The Beast
Just as the photographer snapped this photo, the Beast covered the kids’ faces with his massive paws. However, it can be the mark of a good photographer to, you know, have the people’s faces in the photo when you’re taking pictures of them. This family photo, despite not featuring two of its young members, will probably be one of their favorites for years to come. It’s hilarious if you ask us.
If you haven’t seen any of the Toy Story movies, they’re about toys that are secretly alive. Whenever their owner, Andy, would get near, they would fall to the ground, limp, to prevent him from finding out their secret. For a while, the characters from the movies would do the same in the park. Whenever a guest would shout “Andy’s coming!” they would immediately fall to the ground. However, this does not happen at the park anymore – for obvious reasons.
The Cringey Dad
At Disneyland, it’s not always the kids who have the best time. The parents can too! This dad is a great example. He was so ecstatic about being at the park that he went ahead and took this adorable photo with Snow White. He was clearly not embarrassed at all, and we commend him for that! Why not take the chance and have a good time while you’re there? Even with small kids getting cranky and whiny?
Anyone But Her
The very last thing you’d want to do while at a Disney park is upset a person who works there, character or not. While the characters are in costume, they’re obligated to stay in character no matter what. Meaning that bringing up their famous enemies might not be the best idea. Wearing an Ursula shirt when going to visit Ariel? Cruel if you ask us! You can clearly see in this photo that Ariel was less than happy to see her nemesis.
You Can’t See Me
We have to wonder: what was Tigger trying to shield these kids’ eyes from? What was going on in front of them that wasn’t appropriate for their young eyes? We guess we’ll never know. Whatever it was, we’re sure Tigger was just messing around with these kids and trying to make them have a good time. One thing is for sure, when the kids in the photo look back at the picture years down the line, they’re going to laugh.
Not In The Mood
When you look at this picture, at first glance it looks like any other happy family visiting a Disney park and meeting a beautiful princess. Take a closer look. Most of the family might be excited to be at the park, one boy looks less than happy about being there. On the other hand, seeing as he’s a part of the Princess Protection Agency, maybe he’s simply taking his job as seriously as he should be taking it?
Don’t Come Near Me
We know, the Queen of Hearts is rather scary to look at. This kid’s reaction makes total sense in our opinion. He most likely doesn’t understand she’s nothing more than a normal person wearing a chilling costume. In all honesty, we wouldn’t be too keen on getting close to her, either. This family might want to find some friendlier looking characters for their Disney park photos. This one just won’t cut it.
The Perfect Photobomb
When it comes to photobombing, when it’s done well, it can make any picture a million times funnier than it already is. This is especially true for photos taken at Disney parks. These four friends just wanted to take a nice picture to commemorate their trip to Disney. And so, they posed in front of the iconic castle. Little did they know that the guy behind them would take the chance when he saw it.
While Disney parks can be incredibly fun for most kids, it can still be terrifying for others, especially if they’re too young to understand what’s going on around them. All they see are giant animals and characters roaming around them. When Donald Duck posed with this happy little girl, her younger brother got the wrong impression, thinking he was in terrible danger, clearly. We can understand his reaction.
Ducking For Cover
If you’ve ever encountered a wild tiger while eating breakfast, it would make total sense to hide underneath the table while waiting for the danger to pass. Well, that’s exactly what this little girl did when Tigger approached her family’s table while they were eating. The rest of the family, however, posed happily with the giant tiger. While the little girl did her best to hide, the photographer still managed to get her in the shot, making this photo so much better.
The Happiest Place On Earth
Oftentimes, Disneyland is called ‘the happiest place on earth’. It’s a famous expression regarding the Disney parks. However, this photo seems to say something else. This family decided to pose in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. Instead of smiling happily to show their joy, all they did was stare solemnly at the lens with straight faces. We wish we could ask them what their thought process was before this picture was taken. With their serious faces, the picture looks almost like a work of art.
