The real thing that makes a house into a real home is some of the magical and unexpected moments with the Gaines family. Joanna often shares some of these treasured moments on her Instagram account, and they’re actually super cute. So lets take a look at some of the times that no one, including Joanna and Chip could have prepared for! In this group shot Joanna captioned how “Drake, Ella, Duke, and Emmie Kay are always keeping things interesting. A crooked sign, a brave little girl, adult onesies, Don Williams radio, and an old teddy bear. These are the good ol’ days.”

Stair Play
Sometimes a staircase is more than just a staircase in the Gaines family. Since there are so many children and so much space, there’s always new, fun and creative ways and areas to play. In this shot, one of the boys is making perfect use of the staircase by using it to build his card houses. Well he does look very focused and is concentrating very hard on his project. Perhaps he’s a budding engineer in the making. You can also see that they’ve added the finishing touches to the staircase with the black metal frames, white stairs and wooden back wall, complete with family photos, which ties in perfectly with the rustic-homely theme of the house.
