In the FAQs, prospective members of the audience also get a warning about not bringing any kind of sharp object to the set. This would mean that scissors and knives are out of the question. We are not surprised to hear that it is forbidden to bring any sort of weapon as well. Even mace is prohibited.

No Random Shouting
The warm-up guy is responsible for constantly whipping the members of the audience into a frenzy! A minute does not go by without the viewers being asked to dance as hard as they could. They get asked to whoop and holler as well. However, crowd participation does come with certain limits as well.
