Parents sign up their little ones for photo shoots in order to capture the best moments of their babies’ lives. However, many people overlook just how much time and effort professional photographers put into getting the perfect shot! DIY might work fine in other endeavors, but don’t expect to get the same results when you take photos of your tiny tots by yourself. Are you still on the fence about shelling out money for documentation of your little angels? Look at these photos and we’re sure you will make up your mind in no time.
Being Wrapped Like This Wouldn’t Make Us Happy Either
You can bet that it took them a long time before they captured the perfect photo on the left. If you want to recreate it, don’t expect to accomplish this in several minutes! You need to take your child’s temperament into consideration because you are aiming for an angel, not the hulk. If anything, the photo on the right will make for a great black-mail photo in the future.
Get Me Outta Here!
Remember, professional photographers earn a living by posing babies. They know better than anyone what works and what does not. The kid on the left probably fell asleep as soon as they were put in the netting. Meanwhile, we just cannot say the same thing for the one on the right…
This Photo Shoot Was Ruined By Bad Aim
This photo shoot was nearly successful! We do not know how long it took them before they got the second photo, but they must have learned that you do not get the perfect shot on the first try. If you want our opinion, we think the bottom one is actually better since it is simple and more realistic!
A Pumpkin Is No Place For A Baby
We bet you don’t have any clue what it is like to sit inside a pumpkin. To help you out, let us tell you that it is slimy and cold. We’re not surprised to see the little angel on the right freaking out! It also looks like his legs were jammed in there. Would you be fine with being confined in something like that?
Doesn’t Really Make The Baby Any Less Adorable
If you look past the pouting, the kid on the right has to do several things to successfully complete the Frosty the Snowman look. For one thing, the parents could make the nose look less stressed and give their kid a top hat. Nonetheless, it doesn’t look too bad. At the very least, the child isn’t freaking out.
The Easter Bunny That Everyone Is Looking For
This photo shoot was operating on the simple idea of adorable bunny ears resting on sleeping babies. They are both adorable, though the first photo is the one that looks peaceful. The second child does not look like they like what is going on. Perhaps he was more interested in searching for Easter eggs than posing for a photo shoot.
Help! The Lights Are Coiling Themselves Around Me!
We daresay that the parents were whack for using this concept! We don’t think it’s a good idea to use lights as props for baby shoots. The kid on the left is about to chomp on the fairy lights! Meanwhile, the second kid looks like they are about to fight their parents. Could it have anything to do with the fact that his hat looks a little strange?
I Wanna Be Like Mommy
The photo on the left is very popular on Pinterest, so you can imagine how many mothers tried to recreate it. The little angel on the right did not get the memo it was supposed to be a serious shot! She unleashed her inner goofball, and this was the result. It might be a fail, but we think it is adorable.
Who Came Up With Idea Of Putting Babies Inside Fruits And Vegetables?
There is nothing better than a cold watermelon on a hot summer day! However, it is much better to eat it instead of putting your tiny tot inside for a photo. Clearly, the second child is not happy inside the watermelon rind. Who can blame him? It must be sticky and too small. Maybe we should leave the fruity photo shoots to professionals next time.
WARNING: Keep Glass Balls Away From Children
Is it really worth putting your kid in danger to get that perfect photo for the Christmas season? Those glass balls could shatter and hurt the child! Aside from that, the parents on the right also failed to follow the camera angle and pose their little angel in the same manner as the one on the left. Oh well, at least they ended up with a hilarious fail!
Oh No! There’s Something In My Eye
Doesn’t it sound adorable if you get your baby and have them play with a colorful cupcake? You might think it is a cute idea but wait until frosting gets in their eyes. Before you know it, waterworks will begin and disrupt the photo shoot. Just keep it simple next time, folks. Trust us, you will avoid messes like this one when you follow our piece of advice!
Didn’t I Tell You No Flowers?!
Babies are bundles of joy, but it might be too tall an order to expect them to cooperate during photo shoots. The child on the left sure looks content with her head accessory. You really can’t say the same thing for the child on the right. We won’t be too happy when someone forces us to wear something we don’t like either!
It’s Called A Choking Hazard
Not only is it a choking hazard, but these things are not made for sitting. We have no idea how the first photographer managed to get the child to fall asleep in the candy bowl! Could magic have been involved? We imagine that more children will react like the second child.
Mom, Please Act Like A Grownup And Put On The Sock Correctly
Socks are made for our feet… not our whole body. It seems like the child on the right understood this perfectly. The sock prison must have gotten quite the beating from this young angel! Despite the less than ideal setup, this tot does not look mad that daddy and mommy shoved them into a foot garment.
I Told You I Can’t Read!
Although the concept was nothing complicated, we should already know that things are never simple with kids. The first baby will probably grow up to be a book worm in the future. On the other hand, it is likely that the second one is no bibliophile. Our main takeaway is that what works with one baby won’t work for yours!
Is This Photo Shoot Or A Trust Exercise?
It worked perfectly for the first photo since they were working with a newborn. Unlike such a tiny baby, the kid in the bottom photo did not exactly fit in the parents’ hands! As you can see, the second child was older and more expressive. These qualities account for the face she’s making in this photo! It seems like the baby knows how bad things could get if the parents actually let their hands slip!
Is This Joyful Enough For You?
You can probably tell which photo shoot did not end well. Perhaps there was bribery in the behind-the-scenes of the first photograph. After all, how can you get siblings like that to look like they get along well? Nonetheless, they look genuinely happy, so they must be really good actors. The second one is much closer to our experience. We also love the irony in the letters they are holding!
I Give Up
You will have a hard time finding a more timeless concept than newborns in adorable outfits sleeping on a soft-looking rug. However, not everyone can accomplish this task. If you are lucky, you might get something that looks like the first photo. However, there is a good chance the photo will look more like the second one. It looks like the baby has already decided to give up on everything in life!
Didn’t Know Storks Deliver In Boxes
Delivery! Here comes the mail and the baby with it. It’s a no-brainer that execution is important in photography. You might have a great idea, but it will be nothing if you do not carry it out. The kid on the right isn’t crying or fussing about even though they were dumped in a box of packing peanuts. It’s not exactly a fail, though things did not go according to plan. Are we even sure it’s a real baby?
A Truck Too Tiny
You are wrong if you think this is a photo shoot exclusively for boy babies! We’ll have you know that girls can do this too. However, we would like to talk about the size of the toy dump truck. We feel bad for the second baby since they were a little too big for the truck in question! Honestly, we bet you will act the same way if you were in the same situation.
I Don’t Want To Be A Stocking Stuffer!
It seems like holiday photo shoots are shoe-ins for lists like this one. The first photo did it right since they had the props in the appropriate size for the baby. Unfortunately, the parents in the second photo decided to take ‘stocking stuffer’ literally and placed the kid in an actual stocking. We would be crying too if our legs had been jammed into something like that!
The Rose Among The Thorns
If you ever have a litter of boys and a single girl, this is a photo shoot idea worth considering. What could be cuter than protective older brothers threatening potential suitors? We bet all little girls want to have brothers that could have her back. Although we do not doubt the guys love her, they sure don’t look like they get along very well.
WE Don’t Want To Make Snow Angels!
It is not a winter wonderland if there are no snow angels! Keep in mind that extra layers are needed to prevent hypothermia and the like. The parents of the little kid in the first photo deserve full marks for bundling up their child with some extra padding. However, the folks in the second photo did not think that far ahead. We bet the poor angels are crying because of the cold!
Where’s My Morning Cup?!
Perspective is the most important thing here. Both photos actually hit the nail on the head when it comes to the baby-in-the-mug look. The elements might be the same, though the second baby woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The expression the tot is making makes it look like they were actually dipped in hot coffee.
Is It Too Much To Ask For Cake?!
Are you eager to hold a rather girly first birthday celebration for your baby girl? Look no further for the perfect photo shoot idea! On the left, we have a photo shot by stylish photographers who underwent a lot of training. The baby looks incredibly happy about her birthday! When it comes to the second photo, the elements have been copied, though the baby was not happy. She probably just wanted to eat cake!
It Pays To Keep Your Mouth Shut
There are cases in which parents join the babies for the photo as well. This mom and baby duo nailed it, though they probably had extra shots taken to be on the safe side. The unsuspecting mother clearly had no idea what was going to happen next! It might be unfortunate, but at least it shows the reality of becoming a parent. Stuff like this happens all the time. No one knows this better than old parents!
Someone Hasn’t Taken Their Chill Pill
Are you planning to dress your baby in a fancy button-down shirt with a bowtie? You might want your little angel to look dashing, but comfort should always come first. The first child looks thrilled, though the second one looks just like a real-life version of the protagonist in Boss Baby. Nonetheless, we have to say that we equally like both of these photos.
I’m SOOOO Sleepy!
Photos like these must be hard to pull off. After all, you need to ensure that the child is asleep AND that their head goes right in their tiny hands. We doubt you can accomplish this all by yourself! We love how sleepy the kid on the right is. Do you think it is hard to look adorable and miserable at the same time?
Babies And Electrical Wiring Are Not Always A Great Combo
One of these kids is freaking out thanks to some lights. Who can blame the baby? After all, it is not very safe nor fun to be wrapped in the electrical wiring from the lights. Moreover, it must be frustrating that mommy and daddy decided to snap more photos instead of letting you go.
Who Said I Wanted Kisses?!?
When you kiss a baby, you will have a giggling angel or a screaming demon. You can probably tell which one is which from these photos. Baby photographers spend a lot of time figuring out the best possible photo. After all, they are getting paid to do this! It does not take a genius to see that the second one was done by an amateur.
Isn’t It Too Much To Expect Kids To Pull Off This Balancing Act?
It can already be hard to take marvelous photos of your children. A balancing act can be pretty hard. The kids on the left display impressive symmetry, but we sympathize with the children on the right. We think that the little boy looks uncomfortable with what is happening. It also does not help that the tiny baby is about to fall off!
Looks Simple Enough
Did you think it would be easy to recreate the first photo? Wrong. There is more to it than just placing a soft blanket on top of the baby! Surely, we no longer have to tell you that you should also ensure that your baby is doing peachy on that day. In the first picture, the cherubic smile is the real star of that photo!
The Stars And Stripes Forever
The photo shoots must have happened right around the 4th of July or Memorial Day. It’s also possible the parents are simply patriotic folks. Anyway, the little one in the first photo will definitely grow up to become a very patriotic person, but it seems like the second child doesn’t get it just yet. But honestly, we would behave in the way if ever read end is making contact with the floor.
Oops! Didn’t Really See That Coming
Babies can’t control their orifices most of the time! If they have to vomit, they will vomit. Look at this child’s facial expression! Can you imagine being in the father’s position? Yuck! Nonetheless, he does not look too bad. He probably thinks this is nowhere near the worst of the lot.
New Baby Not Welcome
There are children whose parents gave them a sibling for playing, and those that stopped while they were still in their prime. Look at these boys. We have no doubt that the moms and dads wanted something that will get the kids moving. The right one looks miserable, however. Perhaps the little angel already knew that his parents will no longer have their sole focus on him! Aww.
Carrot Gone Rogue
Lots of parents enjoy dressing the kids up during holidays such as Christmas and Easter. There are numerous costume possibilities that creative parents will adore to no end! Of course, we should never forget about props. Easter bunnies eat carrots regularly, so you might think it’s a good idea to put a carrot on a baby. We understand the first picture… however, things clearly did not go as planned in the second one.
An Uncomfortable Sailor
For some reason, parents seem to love sailor costumes. Could it be the cute little hat? Is it the small anchor? Regardless of the answer, the costumes are to die for. The second child looks extremely uncomfortable and the expression is a dead giveaway that something is wrong. This photo must have been far from what they hoped for when they made the baby look dashing in the beginning!
A Few Kisses
How adorable is this concept? Kisses are always lovely, though it seems like the reality did not align with their expectations for the photo on the right. Everything was done to perfection on the left with the sleeping baby and the Hershey kiss resting on the bottom. A crying baby is all there is in the second one!
What?! Why Did They Do That?
Babies cannot read, but there is something appealing about the sight of a little angel flipping through a comic book or a Beatrix Potter book. We would be convinced that the child on the left is absorbed in those Spider-Man comics if we didn’t know otherwise. When it comes to the kid on the right, it looks like an undesirable plot twist has just unraveled!
Can Someone Give This Baby Some Holiday Cheer?
This adorable baby is sure relatable! It looks like he is completely over all the picture-taking. You know how bad it can get during Christmastime. Although photo shoots are common this time of the year, the right child seems to lack some holiday cheer. The kid on the left, however, is delivering copious amounts of it! Could it have anything to do with the nap they took right before this photo?
If You Didn’t Get Dirty, You Wouldn’t Need A Bath
When it comes to baby photos, good luck finding a more iconic concept than a baby snuggled up in a blanket or towel. It might seem simple, but it is a lot more complicated than it looks. These babies might look cute… until puke began to drip out of Baby Number Two’s mouth! Time for another bath… again.
The Little Ballerina
Mothers also like to dress their little girls in ballet outfits. We actually have no idea what motivates them to putt a tutu and hair accessories on their little girls. Nonetheless, we admit it makes for a pretty photo. Both these kids are cute in their own way so we’re not writing this one off as a fail!
A Breakfast Bowl Of Goodness
New parents also like putting their children in containers and snapping away! For this pair of photos, a glass bowl is vital. It could work, but only if you have the ideal model baby like the one on the left. However, the odds are greater that it will look more like the child on the right! Folks, it might not be worth the effort.
Is That Supposed To Be Santa?!
Babies in hats tend to look adorable no matter what kind of hat they have on. The cuteness level tends to go higher when you increase the size of the hat! This is even more true when you are doing a holiday theme. Baby Number One is the perfect Christmas baby model. Those doe eyes and big hat are perfect! Unfortunately, Baby Number Two seems to have overdone it.
Don’t you think it is adorable when kids try on their parents’ clothes? Toddlers like to wear mom’s heels and run around them. Infants can actually do it too! These photos are proof. Clearly, a baby that small cannot walk just yet, especially not in high heels. Santa must have helped them stand upright!
Another Stocking Stuffer
Surprise, surprise. We have another baby inside a stocking concept here! When done right, the Christmas stocking should look like a sleeping bag of sorts. However, things rarely go according to plan. The second child looks terrified of being placed inside the stocking, though it might have something to do with those puff balls as well. Still, we think it is impressive this little angel still followed instructions.
A Pumpkin Of Tears
We doubt that the trend of putting babies in pumpkins will ever die out. Parents find it hysterical, so they often carve pumpkin holes for the legs. It sounds nice in theory, but babies do not like the insides of food products. Who can blame them? Gourds are slimy!
To Be Fair, The Original Girl Is Much Older
The little girl on the left looks significantly older than the second kid. We are sure they understood the instructions better, which resulted in the perfect photo. The one the right probably didn’t know what was going on so this was what happened. If you ask us, both pictures are adorable! The right one might even win because that expression is simply priceless.
We adore photos of dad and mom kissing the babies. Beautiful! However, babies tend to mess things up. Photo Number 1 displays the love of the parents for their newborn child. Photo Number 2 wanted to emulate this, but the baby ended up looking more terrified than content!
Not In A Festive Mood
Whoa, it seems like there are more parents who think it is a good idea to photograph babies and holiday lights together. The first kid looks adorable, but nothing is safe about chewing on those lights! Parents, we all love cute photos but safety should always be our top priority! Never put your child at risk just so you can have something to show your friends.
A Different Style
Crafty moms are typically regulars on websites like Pinterest. These mothers often like to create things for their kid, though things do not always go according to plan. The young lady in the photo on the left looks fantastic in her costume! The other girl does not seem too happy, however. We can’t tell if she is not a fan of the tutu her mother made or if she hates wearing it over her pants!
Who Said Eggs And Babies Are A Good Match?
Baby Number One looks peaceful on the floor with all the Easter egg winnings. However, Baby Number Two looks incredibly overwhelmed! We think it has more to do with the fact that they are in an Easter basket, however. For the sake of comparison, the first child has been placed in a bigger container. The parents or photographer also took the time to spread the Easter eggs more evenly. The poor kid on the right did not get the same treatment!
What Did I Tell You About Ridiculous Baskets?!
Baby, basket, blanket – we can see why parents would think these three words combined would make for a great photo shoot! It sounds easy enough, but you would be wrong to think this way. In reality, it is very hard to pull off. The kid on the right looks ready to fight his folks! Despite all the anger, the child looks nothing short of adorable. Parents, we hope you are always ready to deal with reactions like this if you want to make your Pinterest dreams come true.
Part Of The Process
According to baby photographers, peeing and pooing happen quite a lot. This proud mama might have avoided getting her face sprayed on, but the dress certainly did not get the same luck. We are glad to hear that the parents seem to take it in stride! Potty training is probably the next thing on their to-do lists.
What The Fear Of Balloons Looks Like
Not a lot of people know about globophobia AKA the fear of balloons. It’s real, and the kid in the right photo might have it! There are lots of things going on here, but we are not surprised to hear that the photo shoot went wrong. They did trap a baby inside a crib, after all.
