Football Was His Forte

Ever since Troy Aikman kicked off his career in the National Football League, he has been quite the star. He tried a number of sports from basketball to baseball when he was a child, but football had a special place in his heart. During the 1989 draft, he was the first overall pick! That was also the first season in which he became a starting quarterback in the NFL. Before that, he was a notable player for the UCLA Bruins. In the following decade, he would kill it on the field and lead the Dallas Cowboys to Super Bowl victory a total of three times. However, this does not cover all of his achievements just yet.

Retiring From Playing

After spending over a decade playing professional football in the NFL, he decided that it was time to go in a different direction. By 2000, his entire life was going to change since it was his final season with the Cowboys and in the league. When the season came to a close, he got married to Rhonda Worthey, the publicist of the team. The happy couple did not waste any time waiting to begin their own family. Aikman and Worthey welcomed a little girl by the name of Jordan Ashley Aikman about a year later.
