Created by Glen A. Larson, Battlestar Galactica is one of the most revered science fiction properties in the history of the pop-culture. First introduced in 1978, the most famous series of the show ran from 2004 to 2009 and starred Edward James Olmos. Following the rise of the dangerous Cyclons, humanity clings to an old ship named the Galactica and the people inside who promise to save them. Let’s take a look at Battlestar Galactica over the years and see where the cast members from the 2004 series have ended up!
Jamie Bamber – Cpt Lee Adams
Since his starring role on Battlestar Galactic Jamie Bamber has stayed active enough in Hollywood that he’ll never need a financial advisor or an online college degree to make money. Bamber most recently starred in the TV series ‘Fearless’ and he has spent most of his post-Galactica career on the small screen. He’s also had three children with his wife Kerry Norton, whom he married right before landing his role in Battlestar.

Jamie Bamber – Cpt Lee Adams
Lucy Lawless – D’Anna Biers
Does Lucy Lawless need an introduction? The star of ‘Xena’ had a great arc on Battlestar Galactica as the Cyclon Number Three. Lawless has done a bit of everything in Hollywood, most recently starring in ‘Agents of Shield’ and ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’.

Lucy Lawless – D’Anna Biers
James Callis – Dr. Gaius Baltar
James Callis stole the show as Gaius Baltar and he has continued to make an impact with his work. Callis most recently starred in the Netflix adaptation of ‘Castlevania’ as the voice actor for Alucard. Callis has otherwise spent the past few years carefully selecting his roles while his financial advisor collects those sweet Battlestar Galactica royalty checks. If there were an online college degree for finding these kinds of golden roles, Callis would have already graduated!

James Callis – Dr. Gaius Baltar
Kandyse McClure – Anastasia Dualla
McClure has potential to be one of the most successful post-Galactica entertainers on this list. She most recently starred in the hit Netflix series ‘Hemlock Grove’ while also continuing her philanthropic efforts through CARE Canada in order to address poverty around the world.

Kandyse McClure – Anastasia Dualla
Grace Park – Lt Sharon Valerii
Next up is Grace Park, who had three notable roles in Battlestar but we’ll avoid going over them for the sake of spoiler protection. What we CAN say, however, is that Park hasn’t slowed down in the slightest. Remember that online college degree we made up? Well, she’d have one too for landing the role of Kono in the ‘Hawaii Five-0’ remake which has already landed 168 episodes. Yeah, Park and her financial advisor are in good shape.

Grace Park – Lt Sharon Valerii
Michael Hogan – Saul Tigh
Michael Hogan has kept his sci-fi card fresh with notable roles in ’12 Monkeys’, ‘Dystopia’, and as a voice actor for ‘Mass Effect 3’. Hogan is one of the busier character actors in Hollywood today and he has his breakout role in Battlestar Galactica to thank. You don’t need an online college degree as backup when you can continually land these golden characters.

Michael Hogan – Saul Tigh
Katee Sackhoff – Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace
Katee Sackhoff was a standout on Galactica as one of the top pilots in the show. Ever since the show concluded, Sackhoff has kept her financial advisor busy with big roles in hit films like ‘Riddick’, ‘Oculus’, and ‘Star Wars: Rebels’. Sackhoff hasn’t hit that next level like many had anticipated but she’s continually doing good work. Currently you can catch her on ‘The Flash’ as the villainess Amunit.

Katee Sackhoff – Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace
Aaron Douglas – Chief Galen Tyrol
Was Aaron Douglas one of the most underrated performers on Battlestar? You be the judge. Until then, check him out in ‘Dirk Gently’ and ‘The Flash’. Douglas is also a prominent philanthropist thanks to his partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. You may not be able to get an online college degree that leads to Douglas’ success, but you can certainly emulate his nice-guy attitude.

Aaron Douglas – Chief Galen Tyrol
Tahmoh Penikett – Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon
Mr. Penikett certainly has his name in the history books of nerd/pop-culture. Penikett has worked on ‘Supernatural’, ‘Dollhouse’ and ‘Continuum’ and he has been a hit at Comic Conventions all around the world.

Tahmoh Penikett – Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon
Donnelly Rhodes – Dr. Cottle
Rhodes has as wide and varied a career as anyone in Hollywood. While he is ostensibly most famous for his recurring work on Battlestar Galactica, Rhodes has stayed active into his 80’s with roles on both ‘The Flesh’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’.

Donnelly Rhodes – Dr. Cottle
Alessandro Juliani – Lt. Felix Gaeta
Felix Gaeta was a personal favorite so it was nice to see that the Canadian born actor has stayed incredibly active in the entertainment world. Not only did Juliani land the VO role of L in the hit anime ‘Death Note’, but he also went on to land a starring role in the hit CW sci-fi show ‘The 100’.

Alessandro Juliani – Lt. Felix Gaeta
Leah Cairns – Racetrack
Cairns went from piloting a Raptor to starring in the sci-fi series ‘Travelers’. Cairns hasn’t had her star burst quite yet, but notable roles in high-profile work — including ‘Interstellar’ — certainly has her on the up-and-up.

Leah Cairns – Racetrack
Michael Trucco – Samuel Anders
Trucco was a fan favorite as Samuel Anders and he parlayed that success into a slew of hit TV show appearances, including ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and ‘Disjointed’. Trucco is probably most well known for surviving a deadly car-wreck that almost paralyzed him before making a full recovery.

Michael Trucco – Samuel Anders
Bodie Olmos – Brendan ‘Hot Dog’ Costanza
Son of the star of the series, Bodie Olmos hasn’t done much work since Galactica wrapped up. Olmos has stayed off of the public radar and is presumably in retirement.

Bodie Olmos – Brendan ‘Hot Dog’ Costanza
Rekha Sharma – Tory Foster
Rekha Sharma is another Galactica graduate who has parlayed her work in nerd-culture into recurring gigs elsewhere. Sharma has scored guest-starring roles on ‘The 100’ and ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ to go along with her extensive resume of credits.

Rekha Sharma – Tory Foster
Kate Vernon – Ellen Tigh
Vernon had been in the industry for over a decade before landing her role on Battlestar Galactica. Int he years since the show has wrapped up, Vernon has primarily focused on TV work and campy B-List movies.

Kate Vernon – Ellen Tigh
Richard Hatch – Tom Zarek/Apollo
The original Captain Apollo, Richard Hatch has as much clout as anyone on this list. Forever linked to Battlestar Galactica, Hatch has gone on to have an admirable career with over 100 credits to his name.

Richard Hatch – Tom Zarek/Apollo
Paul Campbell – Billy Keikeya
Campbell’s career notably peaked with Battlestar Galactica, at least so far, as the assistant to Mary McDonnell’s character, Laura Roslin. Campbell is still active, playing minor parts on random TV shows.

Paul Campbell – Billy Keikeya
Tricia Helfer – Number Six
Who didn’t love Helfer’s portrayal of Number Six? As one of the primary Cyclons on the show, she had ample screentime to differentiate herself. Since her role on the show wrapped up, Helfer has stayed active in high-profile projects such as ‘Falling Skies’ and the hit Fox TV show ‘Lucifer’. Helfer won’t be hurting for work anytime soon and her financial advisor probably appreciates it!

Tricia Helfer – Number Six
Brad Dryborough – Lt Louis Hoshi
We’re in the deep-cut part of the Galactica cast, now. Dryborough had a brief role on the show as Lt Louis Hoshi. Since then he’s been a regular on SyFy television shows.

Brad Dryborough – Lt Louis Hoshi
Dean Stockwell – John Cavil
Stockwell went from Battlestar Galactica straight to the convention circuit. Having been in the industry since the ’40s, we don’t blame Stockwellfor taking it easy of late.

Dean Stockwell – John Cavil
Luciana Carro – Louanne Katraine
Carro has become a competent character actor in the crowded sci-fi field thanks to her work on Battlestar Galactica. She most recently appeared in ‘Supernatural’ as Melissa Harper. She also briefly starred in the canceled show, ‘Caprica’.

Luciana Carro – Louanne Katraine
John Heard – Commander Barry Garner
Heard had a brief detour from the silver screen into an episode or two of Battlestar Galactica. Predictably, the ‘Home Alone’ star has been just fine in the intervening years.

John Heard – Commander Barry Garner
Callum Keith Rennie – Leoben Conoy
Rennie landed a huge role in 2017 as Detective Halloran in the horror-fest ‘Jigsaw’. He’s also been doing high-quality work on the down low in TV shows like ‘Longmire’ and ‘The Man in the High Castle’.

Callum Keith Rennie – Leoben Conoy
Sam Witwer – Crashdown
Whether you know him as Crashdown or as his guest-starring arc as Mr. Hyde on ‘Once Upon a Time’, you’ll realize that Sam Witwer has Hollywood in the palm of his hands. Surprisingly, Witwer has turned into a prominent voice actor with half of a dozen roles in the ‘Star Wars’ animated universe.

Sam Witwer – Crashdown
Sebastian Spence – Lt Noel ‘Narcho’ Allison
Sebastian Spence has his nerd-game on lock with post-Galactica roles such as ‘Smallville’ and ‘Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk’ to his name.

Sebastian Spence – Lt Noel ‘Narcho’ Allison
James Remar – Meier
Remar launched to Hollywood fame with his work on ‘The Warriors’ back in the ’70s and he hasn’t slowed down since. After his small arc on Battlestar Galactica, Remar went on to play a role in just about every TV show that Hollywood has pumped out. Remr is a prolific actor with 150+ credits on his resume.

James Remar – Meier
Bill Duke – Phelan
Is there a more notable character actor in the industry? Bill Duke has done it all and his brief stint on Battlestar Galactica should surprise no one. The New York native has been in everything.

Bill Duke – Phelan
Mary McDonnell – President Laura Roslin
Surely one of Hollywood’s finest, McDonnell has continually wowed audiences on television with her work. She’s been the star of ‘Major Crimes’ for the past half-decade while also stealing the show on ‘Fargo’ and ‘The Closer’. McDonnell is one of the most consistent performers in the industry.

Mary McDonnell – President Laura Roslin
Edward James Olmos – William Adama
Mr. Olmos was a sci-fi icon before ever stepping foot on set for Battlestar Galactica. He continues to be one of the busiest actors in the industry with starring gigs in ‘The Predator’ and on the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff, ‘Mayans MC’.
