For those of you who grew up eating your mom’s delicious spaghetti and meatballs or meatballs and rice, then you know that they are one of the most delicious foods you can eat. Each bite tastier than the last and you can’t help but feel at home when you’re eating them. However, when entering adulthood it’s no secret that we can’t eat the same foods that we grew up with. But that’s where you are wrong! What if we told you that there was a way to eat healthy meatballs and not feel bad about it? Well, there is with this recipe so just keep reading.
How To Do It
We’re not gonna lie, this recipe is not necessarily going to be like how your mom made for you, but it will be tasty and healthy. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Package of minced turkey or chicken meet 500 g
- diced onion
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 egg
- salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning
This process is so easy you’re going to thank me later. To begin you will need to start by mashing the ground turkey or chicken in the bowl to make sure it’s out of its packaged shape. Then continue by adding in the egg and onion and mix until you have a smooth consistency. Throw in the seasoning and olive oil to your liking and once its ready start by making it into balls. Place the turkey or chicken balls in the oven at 390 Fahrenheit, for 25 minutes and make sure to flip halfway through.
Now What?
Once the meatballs are ready, feel free to toss them over some pasta with red sauce or pair them with rice and veggies, either way, they are delicious and healthy protein sources that you won’t feel bad about so go ahead and try them yourselves!
